In 2nd grade, Mrs. Anderson held up my drawing of birds and plants to oohs and aahs from my classmates!  I was embarrassed, but I continued to create throughout my public school time, in studio art and graphic arts classes. In college,  I focused on black and white media - photography, life drawing, and printmaking. Post-college, while working as a cartographer, I created one of the first detailed guide maps for publication of the country of Belize. I went back to school to earn a Masters of Ed. and taught for 15 years in the Minneapolis Public Schools, incorporating artistic activities in the curriculum whenever I could, and I continued to exhibit my artwork over the years. I have now been using digital cameras and editing software for almost 20 years.  My travels over the years have taken me to Mexico, Central America, and all over the U.S. especially the Southwest.
